This decline reflects a waning consumer assessment of the nation’s present economic conditions, dropping from 42.4 in February to 42.1, while their outlook for future economic prospects also diminished from 49.8 to 48.6. Concurrently, there were marginal decreases in households' expectations for the future, slipping from 57.9 to 57.1, although perceptions of their current situation remained unchanged at 51.4.
