Australian job advertisements, as measured by the ANZ-Indeed index, experienced a 0.4% increase month-over-month in March 2025. This follows a slightly revised 1.3% decline in the previous month, marking the second uptick seen this year. Annually, job ads were down by 7.9%, yet they remain 15.5% higher than the levels observed prior to the pandemic. Economist Aaron Luk from ANZ noted, "Over the past seven months, the series has remained largely stable and continues to exceed its long-term average. This resilience in job advertisements indicates that the labour market is expected to stay relatively tight in the near future."
