In February 2025, the Czech Republic saw a notable recovery in industrial production, recording a 1.5% increase compared to the same month the previous year. This comes after the previous month's performance, which was adjusted downwards to reflect a 0.8% decline. Particularly noteworthy was the substantial growth in the output of the electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning sectors, which surged by 17.5%, a significant rise from January's 2.5% increase. The manufacturing sector, on the other hand, remained stable following a 1.2% decrease in the month prior. Despite this, the mining and quarrying sector continued its downturn, dropping further to -4.6% from -3.5%. When assessed on a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial activity rose by 1.7% in February, bouncing back from a downwardly revised January slump of 0.5%.
