In February 2025, Slovenia experienced a 2.4% decline in industrial production compared to the same month the previous year, following a revised increase of 2.1% in January. This downturn was largely driven by substantial reductions in mining and quarrying output, which fell by 22.3% after a 14% rise in January, and in manufacturing, which dropped by 3.8% as opposed to the 0.7% growth seen previously. Conversely, production in the sectors of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply continued to grow, albeit slightly down from the previous month, at 12.1% compared to 12.2%. On a month-to-month basis, industrial activity decreased by 1.5% in February, following a downwardly revised growth of 0.6% in the prior month.
