Mozambique Inflation Rate Up for 5th Month

In March 2025, Mozambique experienced a rise in its annual inflation rate for the sixth consecutive month, reaching 4.77%, the highest level since November 2023. Additionally, price hikes were noted in the sectors of restaurants and hotels (6.09% compared to 6.20% the previous month), miscellaneous goods and services (3.32%, up from 2.95%), and recreation and culture (3.18%, climbing from 2.23%). On a month-to-month basis, consumer prices inched up by 0.06% in March, following a 0.52% rise in February.
