Turkey Consumer Confidence Weakens in April

In April 2025, Turkey witnessed a decline in its consumer confidence index, dropping to 83.9 from March's nearly two-year high of 85.9. This downturn was primarily driven by heightened pessimism regarding current financial situations, as the index fell to 69.1 from 70.9. Additionally, there was a dip in household expectations for the upcoming twelve months, decreasing to 84.3 compared to 84.7 previously. Confidence in the broader economic outlook for the next year also diminished, moving from 84.6 to 82.8. Furthermore, the anticipation of spending on durable goods over the next year shifted negatively, declining to 99.3 from 103.2.
