Georgia Producer Inflation Slows to a 1-Year Low

In March 2025, Georgia experienced a 5.5% increase in producer prices compared to the same month the previous year, representing a slowdown from a 6.1% decline noted in February. This figure denotes the most modest level of producer inflation since March 2024, as a deceleration occurred across all categories. Specifically, the categories of mining and quarrying saw a rise of 22.3%, down from 30.1% in February; manufacturing marked a 4.3% increase compared to 4.5%; electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply rose by 6.6% against 6.8%; and services related to water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation saw a 1.8% increase down from 2.5%. When observed month-on-month, there was a 0.7% gain in producer prices in March, building on a 0.3% rise recorded in the prior month.
