In April 2025, Sweden's Economic Tendency Indicator dipped to 94.8, following a revised figure of 95 in March, hitting its lowest point in six months. The decline was primarily driven by a further drop in the consumer confidence index, which fell to 81.6 from 88.8 in March, with increasing pessimism observed in all areas. Households voiced heightened concern regarding both their personal finances and the overall Swedish economy. Conversely, business sentiment showed a slight improvement, rising to 99.9 from 98.9. This uptick was supported by increased confidence within the manufacturing (99.6 up from 96.7), construction (94 up from 90.1), trade (104.1 up from 102.8), and services (98 up from 97.7) sectors. Despite these gains, a significantly larger number of businesses reported challenges in forecasting future business conditions compared to the previous month.
