In April 2025, Poland experienced a decrease in its annual inflation rate to 4.2%, down from 4.9% in March and slightly under the anticipated 4.3%, according to preliminary data. This represents the lowest inflation rate recorded in nine months. The decline was influenced by a significant drop in fuel prices, which fell by 8.3%, partially counterbalancing the substantial rises in utility costs (up 13%) and food prices (up 5.3%). On a month-to-month comparison, consumer prices increased by 0.4% in April, following a 0.2% rise in the previous month, and were slightly lower than the forecasted 0.3% increase.
