In March 2025, Serbia experienced a notable 6.9% increase in industrial production compared to the same month the previous year. This surge marked a recovery from the 1.8% decline observed in February, representing the largest uptick in industrial activity in the past five months. The industry saw significant output growth in the energy sector at 16.5%, intermediate products with a 7.5% rise, capital goods increasing by 4.3%, and non-durable consumer goods up by 1.2%. Conversely, the production of durable consumer goods experienced a downturn, decreasing by 10.3%. On a seasonally adjusted basis, industrial output saw a modest monthly increase of 0.5% in March.
