The unemployment rate in the Euro Area held steady at a historically low 6.2% in March 2025, marking the sixth consecutive month without change, and slightly surpassing the forecasted 6.1%. Despite this steady rate, there was an increase of 83,000 unemployed individuals from the previous month, bringing the total to 10.818 million. Conversely, the youth unemployment rate, which accounts for job seekers under 25 years old, saw a slight decrease to 14.2% from 14.3% the preceding month. Among the Eurozone's major economies, Germany recorded a low unemployment rate of 3.5%, and the Netherlands followed closely with 3.9%. Meanwhile, Spain (10.9%), France (7.3%), and Italy (6%) experienced relatively higher unemployment rates. Notably, the overall unemployment rate was at 6.5% this time last year.
