In March 2025, Spain welcomed approximately 6.6 million international tourists, marking a 3.8% increase compared to the same period in 2024 and setting a new record for March. The United Kingdom led the list of countries with the most visitors, contributing over 1.2 million tourists, an increase of 3.6% from the previous year. In contrast, tourist numbers from Germany decreased by 1.4% to 896,441, while France saw a 3.5% decline, with a total of 763,153 visitors. Most visitors stayed between four and seven nights, amounting to nearly 3.3 million, reflecting an annual increase of 3.2%. The number of day-trippers, or those not staying overnight, rose by 8.0%, whereas the number of tourists staying more than 15 nights declined by 1.6%. The Canary Islands were the most popular destination, attracting 23.6% of tourists, followed by Catalonia with 20.8% and Andalusia with 16.0%. For the first quarter of 2025, Spain saw a 5.7% rise in tourist numbers, totaling almost 17.1 million.
