In March 2025, Slovenia achieved a trade surplus of €903.9 million, a significant turnaround from a deficit of €63.63 million observed in the corresponding month the previous year. This shift was bolstered by a 50% year-over-year increase in exports, reaching €7,647.5 million. The rise was predominantly fueled by a remarkable 107.3% surge in shipments to non-EU countries, while exports to EU member states experienced a marginal ascent of 0.4%. Concurrently, imports rose by 30.6% to €6,743.6 million, driven by a significant 63.2% increase in purchases from non-EU countries, complemented by a modest 3.2% growth in imports from EU nations. Over the first quarter of 2025, Slovenia amassed a cumulative trade surplus of €3,184.7 million.
