Consumer prices in Sao Paulo, the most populous city in Brazil, experienced a 0.45% increase from the previous month in April, marking a deceleration from the 0.62% rise seen in March. The increase in prices slowed for both the food sector, which saw a 0.77% rise compared to 1.44% in March, and the housing sector with a 0.42% increase versus 1.14% previously. In addition, personal care costs decreased by 0.40%, improving from a 0.60% decline in the prior month.
