In April 2025, Egypt's annual urban inflation rate advanced to 13.9%, slightly higher than the 13.6% recorded in March, meeting anticipated figures. This increase marked the second successive month of inflation acceleration and represented the most rapid rate since January. On a monthly scale, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 1.3% in April, which was the smallest rise in four months, following a 1.6% climb in March, the highest in six months.
