U.S. utilities increased natural gas storage by 104 billion cubic feet (Bcf) for the week ending May 2, 2025, closely aligning with market forecasts of 101 Bcf. The overall stockpile climbed to 2,145 Bcf, which is 412 Bcf (16.1%) lower than the level from the previous year, yet 30 Bcf (1.4%) higher than the five-year average of 2,115 Bcf, remaining well within the historical range for this period.
