In April 2025, Estonia's annual inflation rate slightly increased to 4.5%, up from 4.4% in March. This rise was primarily driven by accelerated price growth in several sectors: food and non-alcoholic beverages saw a rise to 7.4% from 6.7% in March, alcohol and tobacco products increased to 3.4% from 2.3%, healthcare costs surged to 11% from 3%, and prices for recreation and entertainment edged up to 4.6% from 4%. Conversely, inflation rates eased in areas such as household goods, which decreased to 1.8% from 2.8%, transportation, which dropped to 5% from 6.3%, and education, which fell to 2.5% from 6.9%. Furthermore, costs in clothing and footwear continued to decline, reaching -4.5% from the previous -3.4%. On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose by 1% in April, recovering from a 0.5% decrease in the prior period.
