FX.co ★ Mexico Industrial Output Grows 1.9% In March

In March 2025, Mexico's industrial production experienced a year-on-year increase of 1.9%, recovering from a revised 1.2% decrease in the previous month and surpassing market forecasts of a 1.5% rise. Manufacturing output saw a 3.1% growth rebound, contrasting with February's 0.3% fall. Construction activities also advanced, posting a 5.4% increase compared to a 1.1% gain in February. However, utility sector output continued to decline, dropping by 1.9%, following a 1.2% decrease recorded in February. Meanwhile, the mining sector persistently declined by 9.5%, marking the 16th consecutive drop after a 10.3% fall in the prior month. When adjusted for seasonal variations, industrial production decreased by 0.9% in March, which was slightly better than the anticipated 1.1% decline.
