In April 2025, India experienced a 5.5% year-on-year rise in total passenger vehicle sales, reaching 303,648 units, as reported by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM). This increase follows a 3.7% growth observed in March. Notably, the sales figures do not include data from brands such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), and Volvo. Impressively, this is the seventh consecutive month of year-on-year growth in the passenger vehicle sector. Nevertheless, on a month-to-month comparison, there was a 7.9% decline in sales, following a smaller drop of 0.5% in March.
