Poland’s annual inflation rate for April 2025 has been slightly adjusted upwards to 4.3% from the previously estimated 4.2%. This is a decrease from 4.9% in the prior month and represents the lowest inflation rate recorded since August 2024. This decline is mainly attributed to softer price hikes in categories such as food and non-alcoholic beverages, which rose by 5.3% compared to 6.7% in March; housing and utilities at 10.8%, down from 10.9%; recreation and culture, which increased by 3.6% versus 3.9%; and miscellaneous goods and services, which saw a price increase of 2.2% against 2.4% previously. Furthermore, there was a continued decrease in costs for transport and clothing and footwear, with transport costs dropping by 5.6% compared to a 3.6% decrease in March, and clothing and footwear declining by 1.7% against the previous month's 1.3%. On a month-to-month basis, consumer prices increased by 0.4% in April, confirming earlier estimates, following a 0.2% rise in March.
