Kazakhstan's industrial production experienced a modest increase of 6.2% in April 2025 compared to the same month the previous year. This represents the slowest growth rate observed over the past three months, declining from the 8.5% growth registered in March. The manufacturing sector witnessed a significant deceleration, advancing by only 2.9% compared to 8.2% in the prior month. Furthermore, the contraction in activities related to water supply, waste collection and treatment, and pollution management intensified, with a decline of 6.3% versus a previous decrease of 4.8%. Conversely, there was a positive shift in the output of electricity, gas, steam, hot water, and air-conditioning supply, which grew by 2.4%, recovering from a 2.2% decline. The mining and quarrying sector maintained its robust expansion, with production growth remaining stable at 10.1%, close to the 10.2% seen previously. On a monthly comparison, industrial production decreased by 2.7% in April 2025, overturning the 6.8% increase noted in the previous month.
