Producer prices in Poland experienced a 1.4% decline year-on-year in April 2025, which was slightly less severe than the anticipated 1.5% drop, yet more pronounced than the 1% decrease observed in March. This represented the 22nd consecutive month of deflation in producer prices and the most significant decrease since December. The contraction was primarily influenced by a more substantial reduction in costs associated with mining and quarrying (-8.4% compared to -2% in March) and manufacturing (-1.4% compared to -1.3%). Meanwhile, the inflation rate for electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply moderated to 0.4% from 1%, while it accelerated in the water supply and waste management sector, rising to 3% from 2.6%. On a month-to-month basis, producer prices decreased by 0.2%, aligning with the revised pace observed in March.
