This represents the most significant growth rate since November 2023, effectively reversing the 1.1% decline observed in February. Notably, there was an uptick in sales across various categories, including vehicle services, which saw a 1.8% increase, and textiles, jewelry, clothing accessories, and footwear, rising by 0.8%. Health products experienced a robust growth of 5.9%, while stationery saw a substantial surge of 10.4%, and vehicle-related items grew by 6.6%. Conversely, sales figures remained steady for hardware, plumbing, and glass products. Online platforms, printed catalogs, television, and similar sales channels experienced a substantial boost, with a 17.2% increase, contributing significantly to the overall retail sales volume. On a monthly, seasonally adjusted basis, retail sales demonstrated a 0.5% rise, building on the previously revised 0.2% gain recorded in the prior month.
