The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in Taiwan remained stable at 3.36% in April 2025, showing no change from March. The unemployed population saw a slight decrease, dropping by 2,000 to a total of 403,000 individuals. In contrast, employment figures also decreased, with a decline of 3,000, bringing the total number of employed persons to 11.616 million. On a positive note, the youth unemployment rate—which tracks individuals aged 20 to 24 seeking employment—fell to 11.30%, down from the five-month peak of 11.35% recorded in March 2025. The labor force participation rate held steady at 59.34% during the same period.
