In April 2025, Sweden's unemployment rate remained at 8.9%, identical to the previous year's figure for the same month. The employment rate saw a slight rise of 0.1 percentage points, bringing it to 69%, and the labor force participation rate also experienced an uptick of 0.1 percentage points, now at 75.7%. The average total number of hours worked each week totaled 157 million. When adjusted for seasonal variations, the unemployment rate decreased to 8.6% from the previous 8.8% in the earlier period.
