In April 2025, Turkey experienced an 8.0% year-on-year rise in foreign visitors, totaling 3.90 million, effectively ending a two-month downturn. Notable increases were recorded in arrivals from Germany (up 31.3%), the United Kingdom (up 13.3%), and Iran (up 7.4%). Conversely, visitor numbers from Russia and Bulgaria saw declines of 5.1% and 14.2%, respectively. Istanbul continued to be the most popular destination, attracting 40.6% of all foreign arrivals, followed by Antalya and Edirne, with 28.8% and 9.5%, respectively. Despite April's recovery, the overall number of foreign visitors from January to April 2025 showed a slight year-on-year decrease of 0.6%, with a total of 10.59 million visitors.
