The consumer confidence indicator in the Czech Republic increased to 100.7 in May 2025, up from 97.7 in the previous month. This is the highest level recorded since November 2024. Contributing to this rise is a month-on-month decrease in the proportion of consumers who anticipate a worsening overall economic situation in the Czech Republic within the next twelve months. Furthermore, there was a slight decline in the percentage of households expecting their financial situation to deteriorate over the coming year, as well as those who perceive their current financial circumstances as worse than the previous year. In contrast, the number of respondents not intending to make major purchases within the next twelve months remained consistent with April's figures.
