In April 2025, Spain experienced a reduction in its producer price inflation rate, which decreased to 1.9%, representing the second consecutive month of decline and reaching its lowest point in five months. This deceleration was primarily attributed to a significant slowdown in energy prices, which saw an increase of 5.7% compared to 15.8% in the previous month. Additionally, price pressures eased in other sectors: intermediate goods experienced a modest rise of 0.1%, down from 0.6%, while consumer goods saw a reduction of 1.1% following a previous fall of 1.6%, largely influenced by a 1.3% decrease in non-durable goods. When excluding energy, producer prices dipped by 0.1%, consistent with the March figures. On a month-to-month analysis, producer prices declined by 2.9% in April, following a 4.1% reduction in March.
