Retail sales in Norway experienced a 0.7% increase in April 2025 compared to the previous month, sustaining the growth momentum from a 0.6% rise observed in March. Sales of goods in specialized stores also saw acceleration, advancing by 1.0% versus a 0.3% increase earlier. Additionally, there was a recovery in the sales of recreational goods, climbing by 0.6% following a 0.2% decline. However, the sales growth for other household equipment slowed, advancing by only 0.8% compared to a 2.8% increase in March. Annually, retail activity climbed by 4.2% in April, up from a previously revised gain of 3.1% in March, indicating the most rapid growth pace since May 2021.
