Producer prices within France's domestic market experienced a significant decline of 4.3% in April 2025 compared to the previous month, which saw a reduction of 0.5%, following a downward revision. This marks the third month in a row of producer price deflation and is the most substantial decline since April 2023. Prices for manufactured goods fell at an accelerated rate (-0.5% compared to -0.3% in March), with notable decreases in electrical, electronic, computer equipment, and machinery (-0.2%) as well as other industrial products (-0.4%). Additionally, deflation intensified in the mining and quarrying, energy, and water sectors (-14.7% compared to -1.2% previously). Annually, producer prices decreased by 0.8% in April 2025, following a revised 0.2% decline in the preceding month, marking the seventeenth consecutive month of deflation in producer prices.
