The FTSE MIB index rose by 0.5% to approximately 40,350 during early trading on Wednesday, marking its third consecutive session of gains. This upward trend comes as traders focus on developments in EU-US trade negotiations. Recent reports reveal that EU officials have urged the bloc's major companies and CEOs to quickly disclose details of their investment plans in the US. This move is in preparation for advancing discussions with Washington, following President Trump's decision to postpone tariffs on EU imports. On the corporate side, UniCredit experienced a 2% increase after Moody's revised its outlook on the bank's senior preferred debt and long-term deposit ratings to Positive from Stable, while maintaining the ratings at 'Baa1'. Other strong performances were noted from Leonardo (up 2.1%), Tenaris (up 4.4%), Banco BPM (up 3.4%), and Prysmian (up 2.2%).
