In April 2025, Slovenia experienced a modest 0.3% year-on-year increase in retail sales, slightly down from the upwardly revised 0.5% growth observed in March. There was a decline in sales for automotive fuel in specialized outlets, dropping by 1.9% compared to zero growth in March, while non-food product sales also decreased by 0.2%, down from a 0.3% increase. Conversely, the sales of food, beverages, and tobacco showed a recovery, rising by 0.6%, contrasting with a 1.3% decline earlier. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, retail activity decreased by 0.2% in April, following a revised 1.3% drop in the previous month.
