In April 2025, Colombia's industrial confidence indicator dropped to -0.3 from 2.1 reported in March, hitting its lowest point since November 2024. This decline can be attributed to decreased order volumes, which fell to -18.2 from -12.7 the previous month, as well as a slowdown in production expectations for the upcoming quarter, which decreased to 22.7 from 26.7. Additionally, inventory levels showed a marginal increase, rising to 3.2 from 5.6. In the commercial sector, however, the outlook for the next six months improved, advancing to 19.5 from 18.5. There was also a recovery in the perception of the current situation, which increased to 15.0 from 12.1, accompanied by a reduction in inventory levels, which fell to 3.2 from 8.7. Comparatively, the confidence indicator had dropped to -3.4 in the same period the previous year.
