Retail sales in Latvia experienced a year-on-year increase of 0.6% in April 2025, signaling a rebound from a 0.7% decline observed the previous month. This uplift was predominantly driven by a rise in non-food product sales, which grew by 3.6% compared to 3.0% in March. Conversely, there was a downturn in sales for automotive fuel, dropping to -4.7% from -1.1%, and a decrease in food product sales, which fell to -1.0% from -5.4%. On a month-to-month basis, retail sales saw a recovery, climbing 0.5% in April after a minor contraction of 0.1% in March.
