Private house approvals in Australia rose by 3.1% month-over-month in April 2025, reaching a seven-month peak of 9,349 units, according to preliminary estimates. This marks a significant rebound from a revised 1.9% decline in March. The uptick was driven by increases in permit approvals in Victoria (0.9%), Queensland (7.3%), and New South Wales (7.3%). Conversely, approvals decreased in Western Australia (-6.3%) and South Australia (-1.2%).
