Poland Inflation Eases to 11-Month Low

Poland's annual inflation rate moderated to 4.1% in May 2025, down from 4.3% in April and just below the market expectation of 4.3%, based on preliminary estimates. This represents the lowest inflation rate since June 2024. The increase in prices for electricity, gas, and other fuels by 13.1% and food and non-alcoholic beverages by 5.5% were counterbalanced by a significant drop in fuel costs, which decreased by 11.4%. On a month-to-month comparison, consumer prices decreased by 0.2% in May, marking the first such decline since September 2023, following a 0.4% rise in April.
