In April 2025, Spain welcomed almost 8.6 million international tourists, marking a 10.1% increase compared to the same period in 2024, thereby establishing a new record for that month. The United Kingdom topped the list of international visitors, with over 1.6 million arrivals, reflecting an 11.1% growth. Germany followed with a 13.7% rise, bringing in 1.3 million tourists, while arrivals from France increased by 10.5%, also totaling 1.3 million. Most tourists opted for stays between four and seven nights, amounting to nearly 4.5 million visitors in this category. Tourist numbers using market accommodations as their primary lodging rose by 6.6%, with hotel stays increasing by 2.5% and rented accommodations seeing a significant surge of 25.2%. Non-market accommodation options, such as staying with relatives or friends, or in personally owned properties, also witnessed a 25.2% growth. Catalonia attracted the largest percentage of tourists at 20.3%, followed by Andalucia with 15.5% and the Balearic Islands at 13.4%. Overall, from January to April 2025, Spain recorded a 7.1% increase in tourist numbers, reaching nearly 25.6 million visitors.
