Swedbank's Manufacturing PMI for Sweden slightly decreased to 53.6 in May 2025, compared to 54.2 in April, yet it continues to indicate growth in the sector. This reduction is largely attributable to a slowdown in new order intake, which dropped to 51.3 from the previous 55.3, as well as a slight dip in inventory levels, now at 51.3 from 51.6. Notably, the index reflecting suppliers' prices for raw materials and inputs reached a seven-month low of 49.6 in May, down from 50.5 in April. This was influenced by rising global raw material costs alongside a depreciating Swedish krona. Conversely, there were improvements in production, which increased to 59.7 from 58.3, employment, which rose to 53.7 from 53, and delivery times, which improved to 51.1 from 50.8.
