In April 2025, Romania experienced a reduction in annual producer inflation, reaching 1.77% year-on-year, a decline from the revised figure of 3.23% in March. This decrease was largely attributed to tapered price increases in the sectors of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply, which saw prices rise by 2.58% compared to 7.40% in March, as well as in manufacturing products, which increased by 1.05% compared to 1.81% previously. Conversely, prices for mining and quarrying saw substantial growth at 11.61%, a significant increase from 1.52%, while the water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation services reported an 11.18% uptick, slightly up from 11.08%. On a month-to-month basis, producer prices fell by 1.43%, a deceleration from the 2.41% decline observed in the previous month.
