In April 2025, Romania's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell to 5.7%, down from a revised figure of 6% in March. This drop represents the first reduction in the unemployment rate for the year. The number of unemployed individuals decreased by 23,500 from the previous month, totaling 467,400. Notably, the unemployment rate for men rose slightly to 6% from 5.9% in March, whereas the rate for women declined to 5.5% from 6.2% in the same previous period.
