FX.co ★ Russia Retail Sales Rise Faster in April

Retail sales in Russia experienced a 1.9% increase year-on-year in April 2025, improving from a revised 1.3% rise in the preceding month. However, on a month-to-month basis, retail trade decreased by 2% in April, following a revised upward jump of 7.9% in March. When looking at the first four months of 2025, retail sales grew by 1.4%, a significant decrease compared to the 10.9% growth observed during the same timeframe the previous year.
