In the first quarter of 2025, North Macedonia's unemployment rate fell to a historic low of 11.7%, down from 12.9% during the same period the previous year. This reduction corresponds with a decrease in the number of unemployed individuals by 9,000, bringing the total to 92,600. Simultaneously, the employment rate experienced an uptick, reaching 46.3% compared to 45.4% last year, as the number of employed persons increased by 15,100 to 702,400. Additionally, the labor force participation rate saw a slight increase from 52.1% to 52.4% over the same timeframe.
