In May 2025, international arrivals to Vietnam saw a year-on-year increase of 10.5%, reaching 1.53 million visitors. This follows a 6.3% growth recorded the month prior. Asian tourists accounted for a significant portion of this surge, with arrivals from China up by 14.1%, Malaysia by 17.9%, Japan by 15.9%, and Singapore by 18.6%. European visitors also contributed notably, with numbers climbing by 35.1%, led by significant increases from Russia at 171.2%, the UK at 12.2%, and Sweden at 2.9%. Tourist numbers from Australia rose by 8.3%, while those from Africa saw a 3.8% uptick. However, a decline was noted in arrivals from Africa, which decreased by 8.5%. Over the first five months of the year, the total number of tourists reached 9.20 million, marking a 21.3% increase.
