Manufacturing output in Denmark experienced a 2% month-over-month increase in April 2025, recovering from a 3.2% decline the prior month. This rebound was significantly fueled by notable recoveries in machinery production, which surged by 25.7%, following a considerable drop of 13.9% in March. Electrical equipment also saw a substantial rise, climbing 11.7% compared to a previous decline of 3.7%, while transport equipment improved by 4.2% against a previous decrease of 6.7%. Production outputs for electronic components and wood, paper products, and printing continued to grow, with electronic components rising by 8.3% from 1.5%, and wood, paper products, and printing increasing by 0.8% from 0.2%. However, production activity decreased in sectors like basic metals and fabricated metal products, which fell by 3.4% from a 2.9% increase, and pharmaceuticals, which dropped by 5.3%, further declining from a 3.8% fall previously. On an annual basis, without seasonal adjustment, manufacturing output fell by 15.4% in April, following a 2.5% decrease in the earlier period.
