Slovenia experienced a notable decline in industrial production in April 2025, decreasing by 4.7% compared to the same month in the previous year. This decline represents an acceleration from the slightly revised 2% decrease observed in March. It marks the third month in a row of decreasing output, with this contraction being the most significant since May 2024. Output reductions were recorded across all sectors: manufacturing saw a 3.6% decline compared to a 2.1% decrease in March, electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply plummeted by 11.5% following a slight gain of 1% in the prior month, and mining and quarrying activities fell by 2.7% after having increased by 0.3%. On a month-to-month basis, industrial production decreased by 1.2%. Overall, from January to April, output fell by 1.8% compared to the same period in the preceding year.
