On Tuesday, both the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq recorded slight increases of 0.1%, while the Dow Jones hovered around a neutral position. US Commerce Secretary, Howard Lutnick, indicated that the talks are progressing well and are expected to continue throughout the day on Tuesday. The energy sector emerged as the strongest performer, with health and real estate sectors also showing positive movement, contrasting with the underperformance of the financial sector. Among the major companies, Nvidia and Microsoft experienced declines of 0.4% and 0.3% respectively. Conversely, Apple, Meta, Alphabet, and Tesla saw gains, with increases of 0.3%, 0.9%, 0.5%, and 1.1%. Shares of Amazon remained relatively unchanged. In other developments, Moderna's stock fell by over 2%, while Pfizer saw a rebound of 0.4% following the decision by US Health Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr. to dismiss all vaccine policy advisors to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention late on Monday.
