Finland significantly reduced its current account deficit to EUR 222 million in April 2025, a substantial decrease from EUR 3,281 million recorded in the same month the previous year. This positive shift was chiefly attributed to a substantial increase in the goods account surplus, which climbed to EUR 760 million from EUR 273 million in April 2024. Furthermore, the primary income deficit showed a significant reduction, shrinking to EUR 257 million in April 2025 from EUR 2,964 million the year before. In contrast, the services account deficit expanded to EUR 461 million, up from EUR 388 million, while the secondary income gap increased to EUR 264 million from EUR 202 million.
