In April 2025, Lithuania recorded a current account surplus of EUR 137.74 million, a significant turnaround from a deficit of EUR 94.28 million in April of the previous year. This marked the third consecutive month Lithuania has experienced a current account surplus, largely due to an increase in the surplus of the services account, which climbed to EUR 954.18 million from EUR 584.75 million one year prior. Furthermore, the secondary income account transitioned to a surplus of EUR 77.32 million, compared to a deficit of EUR 31.15 million previously. On the other hand, the goods account deficit widened to EUR 591.56 million from EUR 355.95 million, and the primary income deficit grew to EUR 302.2 million from EUR 291.93 million in the same month the previous year.
