In April 2025, Hungary's construction output experienced a minimal decline of 0.5% compared to the same month the previous year, indicating the eleventh straight month of downturn. However, this represents an improvement from the 3.4% decrease observed in March. The output for civil engineering works rebounded, increasing by 6.5% in contrast to the 8.9% decline in March. Meanwhile, building construction saw a further decrease, falling by 5.7% compared to a marginal drop of 0.1% in the previous month. On a seasonally adjusted basis, construction output increased by 5.3% in April, building on the 0.1% rise recorded in March.
