In the first quarter of 2025, manufacturing production in Morocco experienced a year-on-year increase of 3.2%, following a prior advance of 5% in the preceding quarter. This growth was mainly fueled by notable production rises in several sectors, including the chemical industry, which saw an 8.2% increase, the automobile industry with a remarkable 12.7% rise, and electrical equipment manufacturing soaring by 24.7%. Additionally, the pharmaceutical sector grew by 10.6%, non-metallic mineral products by 2.9%, and metallurgy by 14.0%. Conversely, declines were observed in some areas: the tobacco products sector suffered a significant drop of 27.3%, and decreases were noted in metal products at 6.1%, beverages at 5.5%, other transport equipment at 12.1%, and electronics at 5.6%.
